About Omnimedix

Mission

The mission of Omnimedix Institute is to improve the quality, efficiency and equity of health care in the U.S. by fostering the proliferation and use of patient-centric health information technologies. Omnimedix Institute believes that full computerization of our health care system is technically possible and can improve safety, quality and access, while reducing costs. We seek to use publicly vetted standards and open source information technologies to create trusted secure health information systems that place the interests of patients and consumers first.

Governance

Omnimedix Institute is a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) non-profit organization incorporated in Oregon. The Institute is managed by its Founder, Chairman, and Chief Executive Officer, J.D. Kleinke, and governed by a Board of Directors drawn from the health policy, consumer advocacy, and e-health communities.

Funding

Omnimedix Institute is funded by private foundations and corporations who believe in the value of computerizing the U.S. health care system, and our approach to accomplishing this goal.
